This frame is the result of a child interacting with a DNA portrait that was being altered with genetic algorithms. When the child approached the video and waved her arms mutations were introduced into the genetic algorithms. The point of the installation was to start a conversation about the implications of humans altering their own DNA using technologies such as CRISPR-Cas9.
